How to get involved with Sports Day in Canada

Calling all communities, organizations, teams, clubs and schools

Get your community, club, school or organization involved by hosting one of a thousand local events taking place in the week leading up to and including Sports Day. Plan and register an open house, try-it day, fun run, local athlete meet-and-greet, community-wide festival, sports assembly, tournament or mayor’s sport challenge-it’s up to you! Plan something new, or register something you’re already doing and invite the public to join you.

We’ll support you with a free event manual and promotional tools (posters, e-blasts, media kit). Register soon and we’ll ship you a FREE event celebration kit with materials such as banners, tattoos and posters. Plus, your event could be featured on the CBC Sports broadcast, airing on Saturday, September 29.

Calling all Canadians

If you’re interested in celebrating sport, getting active and attending a local Sports Day in Canada celebration event in your own community, you’ve come to the right place. Whether it’s a local open house, regional competition, athlete meet-and-greet or community softball game, you will be able to search for it in event listings on this site in September, 2012. Don't forget to watch for the Sports Day in Canada Road Trip promos, airing every week on CBC Sports starting June 30, and tell your friends, families and colleagues about Sports Day in Canada. If you’re a student, an athlete or a team member yourself, you can also consider talking to your coach, school, team or club about hosting a local Sports Day in Canada event.
